The Elder Scrolls Online or ESO is a massive MMORPG with over 100 hours of storyline and hundreds of side quests to complete afterwards. This game is packed with adventure and filled with dozens of amazing characters who all have an individual story to explore and fulfil in the massive open-world game. Go from Morrowind to Skryime to Daggerfall to complete the mission. It’s amazing to play the game alone and with friends completing quests together and slaying monsters in unison. The game offers DLC packs but these are not necessary for the adventure and fun. However, they can provide you with more beasts to slay and more quests to complete. The game can be played in both first-person and third-person viewpoints.

The storyline is divided into zones, and each zone has its own main quests and side quests leading up to the big story finale of that zone. The player is able to find the main quests in the Zone Story section of their respective Zone Guide. These quests follow each other up in a chain, taking you from one part of the zone to a different part. In order to complete the entire zone quest, you’ll have to also go through the entire zone. In some cases, it is possible to complete certain quests earlier than other quests, which is an amazing feature if you are stuck completing something. Some quests have to be completed, these are called Prerequisite Quests. You can only start your next quest once you’ve completed this one.

These quests start off fairly easy, explore a certain place, retrieve something or defeat a monster. As the game progresses, these quests become increasingly harder and more difficult to complete. However, you’ll have more experience from the game and better gear and skills to defeat the monsters and do better while exploring.

The game has many different storylines, such as the Alliance storyline and the Daedric War storyline. The Alliance story comprises the original base game storylines and is part of the first main story arc of ESO, covering the Planemeld alongside the Main Quest. The Daedric War storyline is the second main story arc of ESO. Unlike the Main Quests, it is not a single in-game questline, instead, it is an overarching story that spans multiple content updates in the form of DLCs, chapters, and free quests. The third big storyline is the Season of the Dragon arc in ESO. This comprises multiple different chapters and DLCs.

Overall, the storyline is amazing, it has a lot of variety so you’re never stuck doing the same thing over and over again. It is nice to play for half an hour but often players get stuck for a couple of hours because of how fun this game is. The game has an 18+ rating. This is because you’re able to kill almost any NPC and other players you encounter as well as innocent people with the justice system. There is also blood, gore, use of alcohol, and sexual themes displayed in the game making it rated M for mature.

QUALITY

Elder Scrolls Online was released in 2014, but the game graphics make it look like the game was released before this time. The graphics lack a bit in terms of feel and look. However, it does feature some great animations and the way spells and power are displayed is done fairly well.

These graphics remind us of The Witcher III which looked a bit similar but better and newer. However, like for many other games, there are mods for ESO as well, and the community offers a lot of them. There is a mod for every single aspect of the game, even to change the graphics to make them look better. If you would like to play with mods on your PC then we do recommend installing one. It will make playing ESO even more pleasant and it will be fun to look at. Other mods exist that can change the way the game plays and how it works but in order to get a real vanilla experience of the game, it's better to not download multiple different kinds.

The game design and how it functions however is much better. The game is very balanced with all the different classes having various skills but nothing too overpowered. The same goes for the weapons, of course, weapons that are more difficult and take longer to acquire are better, but there isn’t one specific sword that rules the game. We feel like this is the fact for most parts of the game, the developers did an amazing job making and balancing this game. The quests have been made so that it is always good for your power level and experience. You’ll encounter more difficult and intricate quests the longer you play.

The soundtrack of the game is a masterpiece. While playing ESO, the soundtrack makes it much more realistic and it feels like you’re in the game itself. The full album soundtrack is posted on Spotify and Apple Music and features over 47 songs. Some of these songs have hit over three million streams and counting.

ESO has many amazing features, some of them are most likely the reason why this game managed to obtain such a large following. We will list some of the best features offered in ESO:

• Four amazingly balanced classes to play. This gives players the opportunity to try out different playstyles which could give an entirely different meaning to the game. The different classes are Dragonknight, the Templar, Nightblade, and the Sorcerer. Each class has its own unique set of special abilities and techniques. • A completely fair loot system. In most MMO’s one person could take all the loot if the others are too slow, not in ESO. Bethesda put a system together where all the loot will be divided equally over the players.

This economy is completely player-driven, they get to choose the value of items and other things purchasable in the shop. Depending on supply and demand, the price can go up or down. Players who end up getting wealthy could spend their money on housing and buying the best gear possible. However, it is all done through guild vendors scattered around the world. Every week, guilds bid on the vendors and if they win them, people in that guild get to sell their stuff through the vendor.

When it comes to cost, ESO uses different forms of a monthly subscription. There is an ESO membership subscription plan that starts at 12.99 euros per month. The game also adopted a Buy-to-play (B2P) model involving microtransactions making subscription optional. Buy-to-play strategy can be described as a way of allowing to purchase additional features and more DLC’s of the game as they progress. There is an ESO standard edition which costs 19.99 euros to purchase. Lastly, there are DLC’s to buy, the Greymoor DLC costs 39.99€ and The Hailcinder Mount Pack costs 24.99€.
